In its second year of partnership, all secondary principals, alongside teachers and district leaders, are deepening their understanding of how to support professional learning communities that engage educators in honest learning conversation in order to disrupt unjust practices and improve student learning experiences.

In its first year of partnership, all elementary principals, in collaboration with teachers and district leaders, are using inquiry to nurture communities of practice that build trust, curiosity, and shared responsibility so that educators authentically explore what is happening in classrooms and adapt to better support all students, particularly the most marginalized.

Building off a year of partnership with Network 2 principals, this group of elementary principals from six focal schools are in collaboration with SEL Lead Learners and the OUSD SEL Department.

In their sixth year of partnership, the Newcomers teacher leaders and OUSD’s Office of English Language Learners and Multilingual Achievement (ELLMA) Elementary Language Specialist are participating in our Lead by Learning Network to support their leadership of professional learning in the district.

In its eighth year of partnership, the Social Emotional Learning Group is a supported, structured space for the OUSD SEL Lead Learners to understand and refine their leadership of SEL integration at their school sites.

In its third year of partnership with the OUSD Expanded Learning Dept, district, site, and agency leaders are working together to align school day and after school practices to create a cohesive experience that nurtures the whole child, with a focus on agency, connection, belonging, and liberation.

In their eighth year of partnership, the BUSD Music teachers are using collaborative inquiry to engage all students to successfully learn to play an instrument and to set goals that will lead them to develop their creative potential.
