Reimagining the Culture for Professional Learning

How to Build a Professional Learning Culture that Helps you Meet the Moment

Professional learning is changing rapidly to address a spectrum of new needs for educators and their students. This Lead by Learning webinar will be hosted on edWeb.net’s platform, and will immerse participants in insights and ideas about creating school cultures in which PLCs value curiosity, center the student experience and provide rich, sense-making spaces for teachers and leaders. A key emphasis is integrating social and emotional learning for educators, within a culture of Public Learning.

Featuring Katherine Acosta-Verprauskus, Principal at Montalvin Manor K-8 in West Contra Costa Unified School District, this webinar will unpack approaches to building a culture of Public Learning and teacher leadership. The presenters will demonstrate how inquiry-based, rich learning partnerships are changing the learning experience for educators and students alike. Participants will see how these approaches help deliver measurable impacts on student outcomes.

This webinar will be of interest to preK-12 teachers, school and district leaders, professional development leaders, curriculum leaders, school improvement leaders, Title I/federal funding directors, and equity, inclusion, and diversity leaders. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.

This webinar took place on Thursday, February 4th, 2021.
