Mills Teacher Scholars Gather: An Evening of Cross-District Connection

More than 60 educators from across the East Bay came together on November 5th at Mills College at Northeastern University for our first annual Gather. After hearing featured speakers Nikole Richardson (culturally relevant pedagogy) and Laura Alvarez (supporting students with collaborative text analysis), attendees divided into Unconference breakout discussion groups.

Discussion topics, decided by participants in the moment, ranged from tech integration to fostering students’ academic identity to the challenges of building strong teams with colleagues.
