What You Might Not Know About Mills Teacher Scholars
2013-2014 has been an exciting year of development for Mills Teacher Scholars. In addition to our Scholars Group and school site work, our team has been involved in a number of new partnerships:
1) Mills Teacher Scholars is working in partnership with Alameda County Office of Education to develop a framework for supporting teacher leadership.
2) Mills Teacher Scholars is collaborating with the Instructional Innovators Design Team in San Leandro Unified to support their dynamic teacher innovators to take an inquiry stance on integrating technology in the classroom.
3) Mills Teacher Scholars was pleased to have the opportunity to work with Oakland Unified School District’s Project Development Team to use inquiry to deepen the coaches’ and curriculum developers’ understanding of academic discussion and adult learning.
4) Mills Teacher Scholars worked with Education for Democracy in a Digital Age (EDDA) on how to use inquiry to support Oakland secondary Social Studies’ and English teachers’ understanding of high quality civic engagement.
