BUSD music program receives award

The Mills Teacher Scholars program is proud to have five current and alumni Scholars teaching music in the Berkeley program: Karen Wells, Michael Hammond, Sarah Cline, Merlyn Katechis, and Mary Dougherty. The BUSD music teachers and the district’s music program were honored by the NAMM Foundation for their outstanding commitment to music education with a Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) dedication.
