Spring 2026 AI Together: Bay Area Community of Practice
Are You AI Curious?
AI is reshaping society, and schools are provided with limited support and guidance on how to equip students and teachers with these future-ready skills. If you are a secondary teacher in the Bay Area who wants to explore how to deepen teaching and learning in the age of AI, join us!
This Bay Area, in-person, Community of Practice is for all secondary educators (all subjects, grades, and roles) across the Bay Area. We are seeking community-centered solutions with people on the ground.
At Lead by Learning, we believe that the quality of adult learning is critical to a system’s ability to improve. Students benefit when the education system is designed to support and value what they practictioners who work most closely with youth and families are learning about their practice, about their learners, and about themselves. Our work over the past 2 decades has proven that educators who learn about their own practice and its impact on their students become educators who can and will lead toward a more equitable future.
During our 4-Part Community of Practice, You Will:
- Explore how to use AI responsibly in classrooms by putting teachers and students first
- Build the skills to communicate clearly with AI, design prompts that reflect student needs and teaching goals
- Explore and experiment with AI with support from university professors and students, professional learning experts, and industry leaders
- Share promising practices and be provided with concrete technical support
Program Outcomes:
- Enhanced Teacher Confidence and Practice: Teachers build their confidence to teach and adapt instruction in the age of AI
- Increased Student Impact: Students develop their understanding of AI, build skills to ethically use AI, and deepen content learning aligned to state standards
- Strengthened Systems & Structures: Organizations build replicable processes, policies, and frameworks that enable teachers and students to explore and leverage AI in purposeful and ethical ways.
