Nhi Truong

Nhi Truong (she/her) is deeply invested in working with educators and students to use education as transformative tools to liberate ourselves and the world. She is an OUSD alumna, who taught in various Oakland schools for the past 10 years. Nhi lectured and mentored teachers in teaching credential programs at Mills College, University of San Francisco, and St. Mary’s College of Moraga. Nhi is an Assistant Director at Heads Up, a program serving Oakland middle schoolers. Before joining Lead by Learning, she was a teacher participant in the LxL & OUSD ELLMA group, where she engaged in a critical inquiry group to support her multilingual students. She now serves as Lead Program Facilitator at Lead by Learning. 

Nhi earned her BAs in Sociology & American Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz and her Teaching Credential & Master’s in Education from REACH University.
